A tale about…dog rescue in Yorkshire

Research suggests that an estimated 130,000 dogs are brought into re-homing centres each year in the UK alone. All of these dogs need help, they need a warm place to sleep, food in their tummies and someone to show them that they are loved and safe. This is where superheroes like Linda come in.

Linda founded her charity ‘Linbee Dog Rehoming’ in 2014 and has successfully re-homed 515 dogs to date. Based in North Yorkshire easily reachable from Hull, Doncaster, Leeds and more. They have a no kill policy and believe that every dog deserves a second chance.

It is so clear to see the love and passion that Linda has for each and every one of the dogs in her care. She has a strict adoption policy and ensures that the dogs only go to the very best homes.

Linda is more than just a provider for the dogs, she shows them the love that they all crave

I was lucky enough recently to visit the centre and meet Linda and all of the wonderful dogs that she is currently looking after. I took some photos of the dogs and shared a cuppa and cake with the team to learn more about the amazing work they do.

There are many ways that you can help the charity

Walkies! If you live in or around the DN14 area and can spare an hour the doggies would be so grateful

Fundraising, a coffee morning, sponsored run or anything in between. All money raised benefits the dogs in so many ways

Donating, raffle prizes, tombola prizes or items for auction

Fostering, see the fostering information here

Do you think you could offer a dog a second chance at happiness?

A tale about…me!

I live in Hull, East Yorkshire

I am 26 years old, but keep forgetting

I shoot with a Nikon D610 and my favourite lens for dog photography is my Nikkor 70-200mm 2.8

I studied Graphic Design and Photography at A Level and attended photography classes every week for 4 months last year to continue my professional development

I am married to James who is my rock, soulmate and gives healing hugs!

We have a dog called Bilbo who is a cockerpoo, but doesn’t look like one

I am a qualified primary school teacher and worked as a teacher for two years

I live with James, Bilbo and two of our lovely friends

I play netball in the All England league

James and I got married in July on the North York Moors

I have a very supportive family and amazing friends who I love very much

I am an anxious over thinker

I spent last year travelling Australia with James in a small camper van and picked apples at the top of wonky ladders and drove (almost crashed) tractors

I LOVE rugby league and am a lover of all things red and white

I have a tattoo of a robin on my thigh, see above point ^

I recently became qualified in canine first aid, dogs are very precious and I like to be over prepared

My favourite place to visit is the Lake District, it’s the most idyllic place and has a sense of calm nowhere else has
